BORGWARE Training Class Overviews
BORGWARE ME10 User Training
Prerequisites: None
Class Description:
This is a course for begining and intermediate users of ME10. A basic
overview of all base edition ME10 functions will be covered. ME10 environment, menu
structure and file input/output operations. Geometry creation and
modification. Dimensional anotation and unit
specifications. Hatching geometry, Text settings and heiarchical part
structure coverage. Some macro examples demonstrated.This is an intense 3
day course.
BORGWARE Customizing ME10
Prerequisites: An in-depth userstanding of ME10
required. NOTE: This participants of this class should have extremely good
ME10 skills, programming skills are not as important, although
beneficial.
Class Description:
This is a class for ME10 power users. The basic thrust is as follows:
Macros, Menus and external system
interaction. Aspects of macro creation will be covered, including macro
file I/O and utilizing the ME10 initialization sequence to provide a
customized environment at startup. Menu creation and modification
aspects. Using system commands to make ME10 talk to external
programs such as spread
sheats for example. Using tools to massage data coming into ME10 to allow
creation of geometry specified in an external sourse.
BORGWARE SolidDesigner Training
Prerequisites: ME10 User Training
Class Description:
A basic overview of all base edition SolidDesigner functions will be
covered. Profile creation,
Machining and Modifcation to solid bodies. All aspects
of the general user interface. SolidDesigner session components and
concepts such as parts, assemblies,
features, layouts and 3D to 2D associativity will also be a part of this
course. This course is intensive, and is really a 4 day course, condensed
to 3 days. This course is not for the beginning CAD user, as the
prerequisite
of ME10 training shows. Note: Exceptions to this
rule will be considered on a case by case basis.
BORGWARE Posix Shell Programming
Prerequisites:
*ANY* programming experience.
Basic understanding of vi helpful.
Class Description:
This class is for the general/casual programmer. The goal is to
aquaint the
user with the nuances
of the POSIX environment and teach basic shell scripting. Aspects covered (which
may not make sense until you take the class :P ) are:
Shell environment, DOS differences and similarities, shell syntax, shell
built-in commands, Shell looping constructs, interprocess
communication, regular expressions and more.
BORGWARE Unix System Administration
This is a course for the beginning Unix systems
administrator. The goal
is to provide the
student with a basic understanding of the underpinnings of the Unix system.
Some of the more obscure facets of this system are explored including shell
syntax, shell programming, operating system concepts, features and administrative
concerns. Comparisons to other systems are utilized where possible,
providing a migration path for those familiar with DOS (as an example).
The shell aspects of the course will pivot around the POSIX shell and the
Korn shell.
This course will be geared toward HP-UX 10.20, however, the fundamentals
will work with most Unix System V style systems. HP workstations
will be used for the laboratory portions of this class. A general
overview of HP hardware will be covered.
